Can I get a residency certificate if I have a DTV visa? I have my DTV already and I'd like to purchase a bike, but apparently I need a residency certificate to register the bike once purchased.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can obtain a residency certificate with a DTV visa. To apply, you will typically need to provide a photo, copies of relevant passport pages, visa, entry stamp, and a TM30 form. Note that different immigration offices may have slightly varying requirements; for instance, Bangkok might require your first 90-day report to be completed, while Jomtien may allow you to proceed with just the TM30 submission. Processing times can also vary between locations, and using an agent may help speed up the application.

Most immigration offices will supply a Residence Certificate. There might be slightly different requirements at each. For example it was said Bangkok would not supply until 1st 90 day report complete. Jomtien would do as long as TM30 complete. There might be different processing times at each office. As with most things an agent can often expedite the process.
