Can I get the residence certificate with this DTV visa?

I went to a driving school and passed both the theory and practical tests - now I just need to get a residence certificate from immigration. I have a DTV visa.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, it is possible to obtain a residence certificate with a DTV visa, but the success may vary depending on the immigration office. It's important to ensure that a TM30 form has been filed. Costs for the residence certificate can range from 60 THB for a longer wait or 1,000 THB for immediate processing, depending on the location. It's advisable to check specific office requirements, as some users report difficulty in procuring the certificate at certain offices like in Korat.

I'm currently in Chiang Mai - but they want 1,000 baht for immediate processing - or 60 baht if I'm willing to wait a whole month.

Yea you can. Usually 500 THB for same day from your local immigration. If you can wait a few days it’s free

Anonieme deelnemer 602 depends on the office. I think in Patong you it’s 100 THB per certificate.

And if you want 2 driver’s licenses (car and motorcycle), then you need 2 certificates.

Opening Times: Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM, but make sure you have already done a 90day report and have the slip from that. Otherwise you can get a residency certificate from your embassy without having done the 90-day report.

, well, why don't you spend your time being helpful and do the research for them for other places in Thailand instead of wasting time replying to my helpful comment???

excuse me? Your comment is indeed helpful, if the person is in Bangkok. Why do you feel the need to be so rude?

, again you're not doing anything productive with your time, just finding fault with others. You could have researched other provinces for others instead of replying to me again with more nonsense . The truth can hurt. Maybe you'll enjoy this.

If the visa has re-entry, you can easily get a residence certificate.

משתתפ/ת אנונימי/ת The DTV visa allows re-entry, so in theory, it should go smoothly like butter.
