We came here with a visa exempt upon arrival + 30 day extension. I hope Iβm using the right terminology. π€ Itβs expiring on June 10th. Previously to that, we had an ED Visa.
Would you please share your experience where to fly near Thailand, with a greater chance obtaining/applying in a Thai Embassy for 60 days Tourist Visa? Iβm not sure if this matters at all, but we have US Passports.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on where to apply for a 60-day Thai Tourist Visa after arriving in Thailand on a visa-exempt entry followed by a 30-day extension, which is expiring soon. The discussion highlights popular locations such as Laos and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where others have successfully obtained their visas. There are concerns about the immigration process in Thailand and suggestions for applying for a visa by leaving Thailand to nearby countries.
no. You need to take your passport into RTE to get the visa

Getting the visa is one thing, but getting through Thailand immigration should be a concern for you. Especially if after completing your ED visa you border bounced to get visa exempt entry and extension. βImmigrating without documentation.β Your US passport should get you back in on a border hop for 30 days plus 30 day extension. If I were you and it was me, I would then get back to the US. It seems that SETVs obtained in Southeast Asia are red flags to Thailand immigration.
Back to the home country to cool off and regroup for a few months. Then a METV issued by the Royal Thai Embassy DC or Consulate General could work her, as there could be a significant gap between her previous entries and the new visa.
Be carefuly about scam and they cheat on you . My bf just came back they used credit card 2 times but told him the card didnβt work but in fact it done

Vietnam is asking for 6 months of bank statements for a SETV Laos is good look
On the website because you may need to book an appointment in advance and beware coming off a ED visa and back to back TV you may be pulled aside so have the 3 proofs a onward ticket in 60 days,20k in baht or another currency and booked accommodation

Had no problems getting 60 day TV in KL last month.
you absolutely must make an appt at KL. They wonβt let you in the property without. And it took less than 48 hours for visa to be completed. They will give you a pick up appt. Could be faster depending on how busy
