Hey there. Would love some advice on this. I'm going back to Thailand for my dive master and need 90 days but was so busy in Laos I wasn't able to get my appt at the embassy for a 60 day. I arrive in BKK this Sat. Can I get a 60 at the airport then extend 30? Should I reschedule my flight before an embassy appt or can I just go with a 30 tourist and extend twice? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on obtaining a 60-day visa upon arrival in Thailand for their dive master program. They are concerned about their current plans to enter with a 30-day exempt entry due to being unable to secure a 60-day visa prior to arrival. Responses indicate that they can enter on a 30-day exempt stamp and extend it by another 30 days for a total of 60 days. However, suggestions include the possibility of obtaining a 60-day visa in Laos before arrival in Thailand to avoid complications.
you can get ONE 30 day extension on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp then you have to leave the country.
I'd say IF you can arrange it to get a single entry tourist visa BEFORE you come here that'd be better, BUT if you can't you can come in on a 30 day visa exempt entry, extend it by 30 days for 1900baht and then leave come back to get a new 30 day visa exempt entry.
No 60 day at the airport, you are going to have to make another international visa run and get a 60 day eventually. Better off just getting the 60 day now and extend another 30 in samui. Will be cheaper to just change your flight. Be careful with those in and outs without a visa. After 5 you get flagged. Make sure you have 20,000, exit flight and your hotel booking info printed out
