TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are one day late in filing for your Non-OA extension in Chiang Mai, you may face a fine of 500 baht for each day late. It is advisable to go to the immigration office on the due day to apply and explain your situation regarding the bank statement. If the required 800,000 baht has not been in your account for the necessary period, immigration might allow you to keep your application pending while you obtain the bank statement. However, if you miss the deadline significantly, you may have to restart the visa application process.

The real question IS

Seeing as in Chiang Mai you can apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp what was the reason you burned this stamp down to where you don't have any time left on it πŸ™ They ADD the new extension to your current stamp so you wouldn't have lost any time if you'd done it earlier

BE THAT AS IT MAY

You'll be fined 500 baht for every day after your current stamp you apply for the next year extension SO be prepared to pay 1900baht for the extension and 500 baht for the one day late fee. AND pray that you have your ducks in a row with the other paperwork and there's no hiccup in the process.

Just go in on the due day and apply for it and when they tell you that you need the bank statement plead ignorance and they will tell u to go and obtain it keeping your application pending. Then go back and tell them it will arrive tomorrow. They might then charge you one day overstay of 500thb which is what my immigration office charged me with my 1st O retirement extension because my 800k thb was one day short of the 2 mths seasoning when my 90 day O visa expired. Or go in ASAP and explain your situation and see what they suggest.

Do you need a 1 year statement? The 800,000k just needs to be in your Thai bank for 2 months prior to application. You need a letter from your bank stating the money's in there and an updated bank book.

Steve Greir. Immigration need to check if you've maintained the minimum amount from the previous year's extension

Yep, but the OP said he's coming off an OA visa.

Steve Greir. He said he was filing for OA extension. He may already be on an extension

Suggest you ask your local Thai immigration office and hopefully they will be able to assist you with a day late application...otherwise you will have to start over with obtaining permission to stay.

If it's before September 27th. Ask to apply for the COVID extension... Gives you 60 days to get your documents in line to apply for a new Non O visa based on retirement...

If you now have the required 800,000 Thai baht in a Thai bank account in your name only... With a new Non O visa you will not need the required insurance for the OA extension renewal

What is the expiration date of your current permission to stay date?

So I assume you have waited until the last possible date to apply for your one year extension of stay?
