Hi. I have applied for an extension of stay of my non o visa due to marriage. I ws given under consideration and was to report back on the 30th of November. I have forgotten to do this, and have only just realise now. Will there be a problem if I go and close it on Monday, as it is essentially 3 weeks late?

Cheers

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for a Non-O visa extension due to marriage but missed the reporting deadline. They are concerned about the consequences of this delay, particularly whether they will face penalties such as a cancellation of their current application. Responses from the community suggest that they visit the immigration office as soon as possible to clarify their situation, as the outcome can vary depending on local policies. It is advisable to be prepared for the possibility of starting the application process anew and to bring proof of required financial conditions.

I have seen immigration offices cancel the current application along with the under consideration stamp and make you apply for a whole new extension from zero as well as pay any overstay IF your previous extension ran out

All you can do is GO to the immigration office Monday Morning bring and early with your receipt and passport and see what they say.

I'm gonna close the thread because no one on this group (or ANY group) can tell you what will definitely happen.

Message me or an admin/mod to get the thread reopened AFTER you go to the immigration office if you want to let people know the outcome.

Good Luck, sure hope it doesn't run you right off the rails ๐Ÿ™‚

hopefully you still have proof that you have not touched the required 400,000 Thai baht in your bank account.

as long as you meet the requirement...OK.

They may deny renewal

And you will have to start all over.

And as you did not report as instructed may find yourself on OVERSTAY...for those days.

Lets hope the Thai Immigration Official is in the Holiday Spirit ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Depending on your local immigration office, In the worst case, you have to start over from getting a visa again. Or they may just tell you don't do it next time.

Be prepared to be told the worst.
