What should I do if I can’t apply for my extension of stay on the same day due to travel restrictions in Thailand?

As my ext of stay employment is in another neighbour province and I have to go to CW to apply for new ext of stay retirement, i need to do this on the same day. IO said if I dun make it by the same day, there will be a penalty 500b. 

Is this normal or big trouble as my ext of stay would hv been cancelled if I cannot get there on time to get bank docs queue #.

It is normal. Once your extension is cancelled and you don't apply for another one, you are on overstay.

Check with the immigration office where your current one issued if you can apply for cancellation in advance that is usually possible at most of offices. Then you could have enough time to go to CW on the other day.

I dun mind waiting, as long as I can walk out with a new extension if I rush there by lunch time. Else, I will hv to go back there again the next day first thing in the morning and pay penalty 1day.

I have already advanced the date by 1 week from the last date stamped in ext of stay in passport. But WP and cancellation needs to be done on same day per my HR, which gives me limited time to get to CW , bank then get queue #. Is CW online booking still working now? Worst case, I will have to go back the next day, 1 day late

WP cancellation could be done in advance, too. That means you can cancel WP, then go to that IO to cancel the current extension with WP cancellation receipt, on the same day but in a few days before the actual last day. Check the labor office there about the cancellation of your WP.
