What happens if I return a day late to collect my passport after extending my NON-O visa in Thailand?

Hi guys. I went to Chaeng Wattana to extend my non-O visa and am supposed to go back after the 30 days they take to review the dossier (next Tuesday) to get my passport stamped. What happens if I go on the Wednesday ? Any first hand experience you can share ? Thanks!
