I have a question about overstaying automatic visa extension. And leaving Kingdom on 2nd of August. Will it be a big problem at the airport?
Kind Regards
Nick

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about overstaying their visa and leaving Thailand on August 2nd. The comments suggest that although amnesty is in place until July 31st, overstaying may result in a fine of 1,000 Thai baht for two days. It is advised to be cautious as overstaying can lead to problems at immigration. Additionally, experiences shared indicate that some travelers have left without issues, but each case may vary.

The reason why I want to do it is because my fly been canceled on the 1st of June. And there was no options for the rebooking.
As money is coming short, and i need to buy another ticket, my best option to come back to UK is to overstay, but I don't know what will happen in the airport. If it's 1000 for 2 days. It's still better, than going back through Hong Kong or any other long duration flights.
Hi hi ,I left Thailand on Sunday,I was on tourist visa which expired on April 29,no problems at immigration at Bangkok, just stamped me out,no mention of overstay ๐๐hope to come back soon

You will be fined 1,000 Thai baht for two days overstay at 500 Thai baht per day.
Its never wise to plan to overstay. If stopped before the airport you could be arrested.
It may be possible to apply for a 30 day extension of stay at your local immigration office...i.e. July 31...
And be aware that many booked flights have been cancelled by the airlines. Stay in touch with the airline.
And be sure to ask what requirements are to fly, transit to and enter your destination country.
With the 30 day extension likely to be denied...
you will be given 7 days to leave Thailand. Fee is 1,900 Thai baht for applying.
This is the best idea (with present information) - don't take any chances with an overstay if you don't have to, as a clean record can pay a dividend in future dealings with Thai immigration.

okay, the amnesty is not over until july 31st and at this time NO ONE knows what will happen or what they're gonna tell amnesty holders to do.
How about you sit tight, take this almost 2 month amnesty and see what they say amnesty holders need to do when it's over?

best case they say it's not a problem and you get fined for 2 days overstay at 500 baht a day. :)
