TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the consequences of overstaying a Thailand visa by one day. It is generally advised that if leaving from an international airport and the overstay is less than 24 hours, the fine may be waived. However, if leaving by land borders, a 500 baht fine could be incurred. Concerns about potential random checks at the airport were raised, with the possibility of facing difficulties if stopped before immigration. Overall, while the fine appears manageable, overstays can lead to future complications, particularly for visa applications.

The answers are there. I wish you good luck in the future what ever you do. but just as advice be careful on social media. I would say Immigration did make it easy. Due to work, you went in overstay. It could be much more worse if Immigration want to make thing difficult.

Ja well, maybe I should take my oil loot that Thailand doesn't want anymore and bugger off to Argentina. I hear they have good beef and wine over there.

500 baht fine, no problem now unless they stop you somewhere other then imigration and if they do 5 year ban from Thailand, reports say they are randomly stopping peoble in parking lot and inside airport to check you before you get to Imigration

Besides that overstay are in the computer so no one knows if it will get you in problems in the future

If you leave by land borders it will be a stamp inside your passport plus a 500 Thb fine, if you leave by air from an international airport and the overstay is less than 24 hours a stamp inside passport and the 1 day fine normally waived. For the future, my crystal ball is out of order due to rain, but at the moment it only effects on applications for the Thai Elite Visa and on applications for a Visa at the Thai Consulate in Penang.

If there is a stamp, there are many other countries as alternatives. I wouldn’t worry too much about it mate
