TLDR : Answer Summary
If you overstay your visa in Thailand by a day or two, you will likely face a fine of 500 Thai Baht per day upon exiting the country. While a minor overstay may not seem catastrophic, it's advisable to avoid overstaying altogether to prevent complications, especially if law enforcement notices you before you reach the airport. Even though the fine may appear manageable, having an overstay stamp in your passport could raise questions during future travels, affecting your experience at border controls, particularly in countries like Japan.

:O I see the captain turned on the "no more comments" sign. :P
We're done boyz and squirrelz ;)
I think the O/P understands by now that overstays are to be avoided if at all possible and that they need to exercise caution getting to the border or the airport to get out of the country while on overstay.
As a rule it's NOT the overstay that messes you up, it's getting caught out on something else while on overstay that runs you off the rails.
Thanx one and all for your comments and concern :)

Just don't do it. It doesn't look good to have that stamped in your passport especially if you plan on traveling to other countries. It may not seem like a big deal but it could give you more hassle when traveling and questioned about it everywhere you go.
