TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses concerns regarding overstaying an amnesty visa in Thailand, which is subject to a 500 THB fine per day. Multiple comments suggest applying for a visa extension based on a flight out of Thailand, with costs varying between 1900 THB and 2000 THB depending on circumstances. It's emphasized that obtaining an extension might be complicated if not supported by necessary documents like an embassy letter. Commenters suggest strategies to minimize fines and highlight the importance of timely action before the amnesty visa expires.

On the 26th apply for extension in which they will refuse & issue you 7 days to leave country. This will cost 1900, but gives you amnesty till 3rd oct. you then have to pay 3500 upon leaving country for overstay of 7 days. If you do nothing now, then will cost you 7000 for 14 days overstay. You will save 1600 by applying for extension on the 26th!
i think if you get a flight and you show it to them they might give you an extension

Apply for an extension of stay based on your flight out on the 10th. Perhaps you're lucky. B1900
If not lucky they will give you 7 days to leave the country. Then B500 per day but never recommended.
Total 14 days B5400

He's saying you can get 7 of those days for 1,900 if you apply in advance. The only issue with this is the 7 day grace is usually given from the date of application, not added on the end.
Agreed. Re-entry problems start at 90 day overstay as long as you are not arrested and prosecuted. It never looks good to have an overstay stamp a,ND an Elite visa will be out of the question.
