What happens if you test positive for Covid during Alternative State Quarantine (ASQ) in Thailand?

I am sure your friend will be taken care of very well. Don’t forget that the hospital usually isn’t allow to give information on patients to „friends“ or even family memeberd without the permission of the patient himself. All ASQ hotels cooperate in Bangkok with great hospitals. So in case your friend is showing symptoms he is a very good hands. Hope you will hear from you friend soon and can both meet up soon after recovery/ negative tests

This is happening a lot! Positive test in Thailand after a negative test outside. No symptoms, but kicked out of your expensive ASQ and now facing a bigger hospital bill with no refund on the hotel either.

If your friend does not have a Thai SIM card and the hospital no WiFi....

Such a huge percentage of answers trying to be funny (and are not) in a situation in which love and concern are the actual normal human reactions ... I was wondering if the persons with black humor would react the same if one of their dearest persons would be nowhere to be found and sick...and by the way, thats an interesting question, however you won't find the answer in this group, as I haven't heard yet of a farang covid patient resident in Thailand and how would they deal with the situation.

If I tested positive but had no symptoms, I would not take anything.... definitely would not let them take my phone...

Does anyone know what medications they're using, or is it a secret so WHO or the CDC won't find out..

You do 15 days quarantine in a hospital room. He should still have wifi and all his stuff. He's probably fine and just ignoring you ;)

From reading other posts on different groups, it appears it’s standard practice to transfer to the partner hospital, even if asymptomatic. Once you pass two negative Covid tests you are then free to leave or return to the ASQ if still in the 15 day window.
