Hi all,

Just double checking what I need for my 1st 30 day extension. Off to Chang Wattana tomorrow, so want to take the right stuff with me. Any advice on getting there would be appreciated too. I know to go to Mo Chit. It's after that I'm not totally clear.

Thanks in advance !

TLDR : Answer Summary
To get a 30-day visa extension in Thailand, you need to bring the following documents to Chang Wattana: a filled out TM.7 application form, one passport-sized photo, copies of the data page of your passport, your visa (if applicable), your entry stamp, and the TM.6 departure card. The fee for the extension is 1900 baht. For transportation, you can take a taxi or a 25 baht mini-van from Mo Chit to the government complex where the immigration office is located. Using the tollway by taxi is recommended for quicker access.

How many days can you do it before it runs out

I think it's something like 40 or 45. Extension will be added on top of admitted until.

Phil, If you decide to take a taxi, I recommend you go by tollway. I always do and get there in less than 30 minutes for between Bt. 101 - 109, plus the tollway charge.

you can get a taxi or one of the 25 baht mini vans from there to the gov't complex.

You need a filled out TM.7 application, one passport sized photo, copies of the data page of your passport, (the visa if you have one) your entry stamp and the TM.6 departure card.

Those things and 1900baht get you an extension
