Hello everyone, does anyone have a current list from immigration in Jomtien of the required documents needed for the non-immigrant "O" - based on marriage, one year extension? I am arriving in two weeks with my 90 day non-immigrant "O" visa and want to preview what I will need to begin obtaining. Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
In preparation for obtaining a one-year extension of a Non-Immigrant 'O' visa based on marriage, it's essential to maintain a minimum balance of 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in your name for at least two months prior to applying for the extension. While specific documentation requirements may vary, it is recommended to visit the immigration office on Jomtien Soi 5 for updated information and to inquire about any necessary handouts. Connecting with local expat groups in Pattaya might also provide additional insights and support.

This list is NOT Jomtien specific, you will need to have the 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name for 2 months before you apply for the year extension.

Post on a Pattaya F/B group and ask,

AND

as soon as you hit the ground get on over to the immigration office on Jomtien Soi 5 and get the hand out

it can reek of what ever you want it to, but remember THEY control whether you get the stamp or not.

AND

to be completely honest, if I was a mid-level passport stamping, paper pushing immigration officer having to deal with the half wit foreigners who parade thru the office every day thinking somehow they're "owed" OR "entitled" to an extension, I'd probably bite my own veins out ๐Ÿ™

The stuff I've heard foreigners say to immigrations officers makes me ashamed to be another foreigner here ๐Ÿ™
