TLDR : Answer Summary
Vaccinated travelers from the US planning to visit Thailand for two months in November should show their vaccination certificate during check-in with airlines and keep it on hand for possible random checks upon arrival. Entry requirements can vary, so it is advisable to stay updated on the latest visa and immigration policies, possibly by consulting a travel agent.
As visa and entry terms frequently change, you might consider an agent to keep you current on these issues. Thai Visa Centre/Grace. I have used them for a while with good results.
what is there to know? The visa waiver for US citizens hasn’t changed in years, if it ever did. A simple trip to immigration will get him an extension. There are no entry requirements beyond showing proof of vaccination if asked.
My visa costs Bt 15,000, requires a fair amount of paper work & bank accounts. Lasts for a year. Been here 26 years. The actual content requirement has changed every year to varying degree.
yes, that’s true for a visa with retirement extension which is what I’m guessing you have. But the OP just wants to stay for 2 months as a tourist. That’s pretty simple.
I only stay 30 days. Went in May. Vaccinated, They checked in Narita Japan. Show Vaccination card and passport at Thai immigration. Pretty simple really.
Show your vaccination certificate when you checkin with your airlines and keep it with you incase you are randomly selected to show it in Thailand. That's it.
I only had the single J&J that was 18 months old and that was good to go when they still reviewed everything for the Thai pass system. Think it's safe to say you are good to go.
