TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 reporting requirement mandates that if your son stays in your condo, it must be reported to immigration within 24 hours of his arrival. However, realistically, if he is only visiting for three weeks and does not intend to interact with immigration services, there may be no practical need to report it. It is advisable to inform the condo management of his stay, as they should also report foreigners, although they often do not. In essence, for a short visit like this, many expats suggest doing nothing, especially if there are no plans to apply for an extension or engage with immigration during his stay.

“ Jurassic people “ ?… that’s how you think and look down on Thai citizen and laws in a country which host you .? The USA has the worst immigration laws . Even build a wall at the Mexican border . Shame

If you are worried about it, get him to stay at a hotel for the first night.

Some of those Jurassic people are dinosaurs.

3 week holiday in your condo ???? Do absolutely nothing.

If he's only staying 3 weeks and won't be visiting Immigration, don't bother.

@Lynnette ******
the only immigration officer he’ll see is when he’s leaving Thailand at the airport

Then you're OK. Failing to do a TM30 is only a problem if you need to do an Extension at Immigration.

Have him check in with the Condo management. It is their responsibility to report foreigners to the immigration even though they often neglect it. That is all he or you can do.

as most have written it's not necessary if he's only staying 3 weeks
Kevin ********
Theres a form you can fill in give your son to take to immigration.
Lynnette *******
Is he planning on going to immigration during his 3 weeks? Is that why you want to do the TM30?

I'm going to give you 2 answers. One is the legal answer, and the other is the realistic answer.

Legally, the fact that your son is staying at your condo must be reported via TM30 within 24 hours of his arrival. The owner of the property is legally required, whether that be you, or your landlord.

Realistically, the ONLY time a TM30 is needed is when you are using a service at immigration. If your son is only coming for 3 weeks and he will not be applying for an extension at immigration, don't worry about it.

 on my last visit to Thailand I didn’t get a TM6. Did they stop the TM6
Andy ******
@Steven *********
The TM-6 was suspended in June 2022 to speed up arrival process and cut down on congestion

@Andy *****
I think TM-6 is still required for land crossings.
