Hi to all,

I've done plenty of research because I'm travelling to Thailand for the first time in july 2025,

I just want to make sure if I'm correct, with what I have researched about,

I'm a uk citizen with a uk passport,

I'm staying in Thailand for 10 days,

So i understand I don't need a visa, and just need to apply now for a TDAC 3 days before I travel,

If I want to revisit Thailand in the end of August, would it be the same process,

No visa required just apply for another DTAC,

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen traveling to Thailand for 10 days in July 2025 does not need a visa due to visa exemption for 30 days. They only need to apply for a TDAC three days before their travel. For a subsequent visit in August, the same process applies, with no visa required and another TDAC application needed. It is important to watch for potential changes in immigration regulations, and over time, multiple entries might raise scrutiny from immigration officials.

Yes. But remember the visa exemption and visa on arrival time limit is 180 days. After that you cant get a new stamp unless you've been out of country for 30 days. Or you can apply online for a 90 day E-visa.

I'm coming over on 14th July for 10 days, and if I enjoy it I was planning on coming back at the end of August for another 10 days, so that should be ok and visa exempt because I'm a uk tourist

are you going to BKK? Go to Soi Cowboy. Its awesome.

they will probably just stamp you with a new visa. So no worries. But there is talk of reducing the visa exemption from 60 days down to 30 days. But you can still apply for a 90 day mukti entry or single entry E-visa outside the country. But it takes about 2 weeks to process.

Phil Ward . . TDAC, not DTAC. It is done in 5 minutes. I already prepared a Word.doc Form with all the required info except the flight number. I only need to copy and paste

, sorry I did mean TDAC, I have the link already on my phone

prepare all the information that is needed to fill out the TDAC, in the "Notices" folder of your phone. Like passport number, date of issue, date of birth, your full name, adress in Thailand, etc. By being prepared, you can just copy and paste it into the TDAC online form. Takes 5 minutes max

TDAC , itโ€™s not even a requirement yet, maybe in May but still in the balance same as the 60 day stamp on arrival, donโ€™t believe everything you are told on here, do your own research ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ญ

the TDAC to fill out before travel will get DEFINITELY activated on April 28, for all travels starting from May 1st.

All the above comments are correct โ€ฆ for now. That said, sometimes Thailand changes laws, so stay on top of the immigration requirements.

I've noticed things slightly change, just like the new DTAC form,

That's why I thought I would join on a few sites to get the latest updates,

Google is not always right

In short, uk citizens are visa exempted for 30 days. (Was temporarily increased to 60, soon back to 30). No visa required.

And complete any immigration requirements pre arrival on line. Sadly no little immigration form - without a pen - are handed out on the plane any more.

currently 60 days many rumours about back to 30 BUT nothing concrete yet. I did see a newspaper report around a week ago implying that the authorities may reduce the 60 days back to 30 on a country specific basis with China being mentioned. But as with everything here it's wait and see.

I presume by saying complete immigration requirements on line, your referring to the new DTAC form

Phil Ward yes.

Just go to gov .uk (FCDO) - their information is always correct and updated. For any country as a UK citizen. No offence to all the contradicting and contrarian FB immigration experts you understand.

I reckon it's as much to do with how long you spend in Thailand on each visit. If you go for say a couple of weeks only several times in a year, I reckon there'll be no problem, but if you try to go several times and max out visas and visa extensions then you may have issues with IO's. In the good old days I used to go several times a year on visa exempt and do many border bounces. Then after years of this I was at a land border entering and when I presented my passport to the IO., I think he got peed off looking for my last exit stamp as my passport for full of them, so he let me back in for 30 days, but Red stamped me. So after that expired I returned to my own country and got a 12 month O multiple entry visa, which unfortunately I believe is not available now.

thanks for the reply, but with work I would only be able to visit twice a year for only 10 days on each visit

@Phil *****
Well, you've nothing to worry about.
