Hi everyone.

When I come to Thailand on a retirement visa I would first want to stay with a friend until I found a place to stay.

How will this work with the tm30...place of residence? And who must complete it and must this be done immediately.

All info will be appriciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
When moving to Thailand on a retirement visa and staying with a friend, it is essential to understand the TM30 residence registration requirement. You must register your address with the local Immigration Office within 24 hours of arrival at any new address. This registration can be completed by the owner, landlord, or tenant of the property. Communication between parties is key to determining who should handle the registration.

You can move places as much as you like, but within 24 hours of arrival at an address you must be registered at the local Immigration Office.

Can be done by land owner, home owner, land lord or rentor, talk about it and decide who does the registration.
