With the new DTV visa, if I get the visa and want to take my spouse with me, do both of us need the proof of funds that are 500 000 baht, or can she come with me “under my visa”?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for bringing a spouse under the new DTV visa in Thailand are still somewhat unclear. Generally, previous experience suggests that dependents do not need to provide proof of funds independently. It seems likely that only a marriage certificate will be necessary, avoiding the need for a second 500,000 baht deposit. However, since the DTV visa is new, confirming details with the Thai embassy may provide more accurate guidance.

Still unclear a bit so far, but it seems most likely the only requirement will be a marriage certificate. No need for a second 500k deposit. That is how LTR works

The full details have not been announced yet, not sure if anyone will be able to piggyback on this long tourist visa.

the details have been released. And it's clear that it allows dependants to apply for the DTV. But how the various embassies will interpret the rules is not clear.

excellent, so is it’s a one off 10k for the visa?, or is it 10k for every extension there after?

@Michael ********
Extension is 1900 baht. A lot of misinformation being spread that it is 10,000 baht. That is the cost of the visa

I know how much it is, I asked a question regarding the renewal fee & 2 members including a mod believe it’s 10k. I also know other visa’s & extensions are 1,900. Where have you read that it will be the same?.

@Michael ********
The Royal Gazette publishes the prices. The visa is 10,000 baht. The extension (it's not a renewal) is not specifically mentioned. All extensions of stay are 1,900 baht. It's been that way for years.

As I understand it, every 180 days stay will cost ฿10.000.

Totally wrong. The info from MFA states five years multi-entry. No visa holder is charged when re-entering.

if you stay 180 days the extension is 10k so don't stay, border bounce and get a new 180 day entry stamp

For other visas, generally you wouldn't need proof of funds for a follower/dependant visa. But this visa is so new that there's no reference, so no one can answer this except your Thai embassy.
