Hello,

Regarding the DTV visa, do you need to show months of bank statements or just simply a screenshot of the overview of the account showing the 500k? Also, has anybody enrolled in any of the Thai soft power activities and how? Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for the DTV visa in Thailand, applicants may be required to provide bank statements showing a minimum balance of 500,000 THB. Opinions vary regarding whether a screenshot is sufficient; most respondents indicate that a detailed bank statement is necessary. Some consulates may ask for recent statements for up to six months, while others might accept a single current statement. Additionally, there is discussion about enrolling in Muay Thai classes as part of the application process, though requirements seem to vary by consulate.

Seems to depend on the consulate you are applying for the DTV. In theory yes. But some consulates require a certain minimum period. Also, you need a written confirmation with seal and stamp of the institution.

No. And varies between consulates. Some asked for at least 3 months.

Different reports have popped up depending on the respective consulate. Some were fine with a single statement, others wanted consecutive statements. I think a single statement would be quite open to misuse, as everyone could just borrow some money temporarily (from parents or what not). But it seems to suffice in most cases. Don't do a screenshot, though. You need a current bank statement with your name indicated on it.

I doubt a screenshot will work. You'll likely need a statement at the minimum.
