TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the requirements for obtaining a Thai Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), particularly focusing on the documentation needed for application and the varying demands from different Thai embassies. Some users discuss the necessity of providing a complete passport copy, including all pages and the financial proof, typically 500,000 Baht, and how some embassies may have additional or stricter requirements. The necessity of consistent documentation across different locations is debated, highlighting the dissimilarities in the Thai bureaucratic processes.

for the 500.000 bth, do they need to be in a Thai bank, or is ok the $/€ equivalent in a European bank?

Do as you are told, or be rejected.

안녕하세요~ 저는 작년 8월에 서울에서 원격 근로자로 신청해 발급받았습니다. 같은 방법으로 신청 중이시라면, 궁금한 점이 있으시면 쪽지 보내주셔도 됩니다.

Never ceases to amaze me how vastly different requirements are across offices of Thai institutions of the very same organization. Either requirements for the DTV have tightened up since I got mine last year, or the consulate in Korea? seems particularly demanding.

is dependent on the embassy because you're supposed to apply from outside Thailand

you apply from the evisa website I reckon. There are no "different requirements" if that is the case.

the requirements are different from embassy to embassy. There are the very basic DTV requirements but some embassies request additional documents. Some request many more documents. E.G. the DTV requirement is to have financial proof of 500K baht. Some embassies require 6 months of bank statements as financial proof, some only 3 months, some only need proof that 500k baht equivalent was in the bank at the time of application.

Kuala Lumpur is notoriously difficult. HCMC and Hanoi seem to be the best/easiest to apply from.

yes, if you're applying check this group for different embassies requirements from anecdotal experience (of course, could change). Some also take longer to process. On eVisa website you apply to the embassy where you're physically located (and have to show proof that your in that region)

no, every single page of passport is not standard. Biometric page is standard. Also the request for 6 months income slips is not standard. Simply 500k baht in the bank is standard.

I'm willing to bet this may be the KL embassy, who seem to have much higher requirements. HCMC and Hanoi are better (i.e. easier due to less requirements) embassies to apply from.

Requirements would be much easier if you apply DTV via softpower muay thai or cooking classes.

Depends on the embassy, Taipei requires the same financial /employment documentation for Softpower as Workcation,

I was asked too, in Seoul. I think it's usual for the remote worker route, at least in that embassy.

you apply from the evisa website I reckon - that is not embassy dependant.

each application on the visa portal is Embassy-dependant. They're routed to the specific embassy, and that's why they have different price, requirements, timing and conditions. The visa is approved or rejected by a specific embassy.
