I am currently living in Thailand working as a remote online contractor for a UK company. However I don’t get official pay slips etc. I could get a employment contract but I am worried if they ask for more information such as pay slips I won’t be able to produce them. How often do they ask for additional info like this? I’m planning on applying in vietnam.
I am considering just going the Muay Thai soft power route. It will basically double the cost of getting the DTV but it seems much more likely to succeed.
Does anyone have any advice?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about applying for a visa in Vietnam while working remotely for a UK company without formal pay slips. They are considering the Muay Thai soft power route, which is more expensive but potentially more successful. Community responses indicate that pay slips are usually not required for the application if an employment contract is presented, and having proper documentation like a portfolio and business profiles can help. Previous applicants suggest that providing sufficient proof of self-employment status, such as tax returns and contractor agreements, can also be beneficial.
