What is the documentation process for obtaining a DTV remote worker visa in Thailand through the Ho Chi Minh City consulate?

DTV Approved. HCMC (Remote worker category).

Consulate: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Submitted Friday 10:30am

Picked up Tuesday 13:30

I over submitted documents. My cover letter already stated I was providing tax documentation so I had to hand it in. But it wasn’t required. I work through my LTD company incorporated in England

.Application form

• Personal bank statement of the last 6 months as financial evidence showing an amount greater than 500,000 THB

• Business bank account statement showing recent payment from latest client (also over 500,000 THB)

• Invoices for my latest client

• Current contract with a client - signed

• Ltd incorporation documents

My personal tax return for the last 2 years

My company's corporation tax documentation for the last 2 years

• My CV

• A portfolio showcasing my recent projects.

• My lease in Bangkok as proof of location

It looked like they were mostly interested in the bank statement. And my educated guess is anything to support your employment status is important too.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user successfully applied for a DTV (Digital Nomad Visa) through the Ho Chi Minh City consulate by submitting a variety of documents showcasing financial stability and proof of employment. Although they over-submitted by including unnecessary documents like a Bangkok lease, their application was accepted without issues. The key documentation included various financial statements, a personal CV, and proof of a business contract. The process seems efficient, with no reported rejections from HCMC thus far.

When you hand over the document they quickly look through it. They highlighted the amount on my bank statement with a highlighter and noted something on the computer. Not sure if it was reference number for my application or not?

But they didn’t seem to ask questions about what most of my documentation was. I think at this point they are just there to make sure it meets the most basic requirements. It might go through another line of inspection. During the two day wait.

I’ve yet to hear anyone be rejected from HCMC though

it's interesting that they accepted your Bangkok lease as proof of location, when the requirements state the need to prove your current location, which in this case was HCMC...

Perhaps physical presence suffices and the Bangkok lease was redundant in this case...

oh I did have my Airbnb HCMC print out too. But it’s not mention in cover letter. So I just threw it in. There’s no definite list so I over did it for sure
