Hi guys.

Going to do a DTV visa next week in vientiane. If mine is approved I will do one for my wife and kids. Do you know if I can use the same bank statement for them or it has to be her own bank account? We have marriage certificate so that's basically our account even tho it's on my name. I contacted the thai embassy but they replied with links that are not related to my questions.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the validity of using a single bank statement for their family’s DTV visa applications, highlighting their joint existence as a married couple. Community responses indicated that joint accounts may be viewed less favorably, with suggestions to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet the requirements for each applicant.

MANY times that consulates look at joint accounts as half yours and half whoever else is on the account SO you need double the 500k to hit the requirement for you (and obviously that'd hit her requirement too)

Take your chances if you dare. If the account has a million baht in it then it would likely suffice and pass scrutiny for both you and her.
