I was going to apply in The Netherlands as well since I live(d) there, until I tried to reach the embassy for over a month by e-mail and calls (every day call) for them to completely not reply to anything.

I then made up my mind to fly to Asia and do it in a neighboring country instead

Hi OP, I checked the House of Taste website. I see you chose the DTV course option. You might have thought that this designation legitimized your choice, but it actually does the opposite. Some applicants have been rejected specifically for course enrollments that suggest are specifically for the DTV. Enrolling for a course specifically for the DTV lowers your chances from past cases we've seen in this group.

ohh that is not good, they advertise this pretty hard and there are quite a lot of success stories, I am genuinely interested in learning about thai kitchen so if I need to get more courses I will!

I'm not familiar with the House of Taste specifically, and you might have better luck at other embassies. Also, even if there have been success stories with this school, some of them might just be marketing from the school. Did you happen to see the recent post in this group from someone who visited this school in Bangkok?

Exactly why I used Issa compass to do the application for me. They charge 18k baht but this includes the embassy application fee. So you only pay a tiny bit more for their service, they know and are up to date on specific rules for each embassy, and if you get rejected they apply again for free.

1. You miss or put some details wrong when you filled out application

2. Check your course details as how long period course, the school eligible for DTV or miss some documents.

3. Bank statements issue

4. If the embassy concern something they will request you more documents not "rejected" , this is means something wrong on your application, you have to find out before re-apply if you still want to do.

Problem is instead of requesting any missing/further information, embassies have simply rejected the application without stating their reason(s).

@Christopher **********
Some embassy they provide the reason. And some agency they can check

True. Some embassies state reason for rejection but others don’t. It is wrong that proof of income isn’t listed on the official DTV Thai government website. It is stated upon the unofficial individual embassy webpage. However, even there it doesn’t state the minimum income limit. Someone has previously posted that there isn’t a minimum? Agreed, a visa agent would know of this requirement and advise their client they must provide it.

1. All documents were double checked and should have sufficed

2. 6 month house of taste

3. Not sure I provided 3 months and the balance was 600k to 1M

4 yet I was rejected.

Anonymous participant Hopefully the Embassy will give you some feedback. It must be extremely frustrating not knowing the reason. I used to hate it after job interviews.

The Hague does seem to be a tough embassy to apply to. They are also known for leaving notes on an applicants immigration file too.

do these notes affect future applications?

Anonymous participant any recommendations whome I should use? I did not use any fraudulent documents ofcourse!
Greg ********
Anonymous participant It can depending what was added. An agent told me they had a client refused due to one. I think it was fraudulent documents used in Netherlands. The next embassy would note process till not removed. Only the originating embassy or a "Friendly" immigration officer engaged by an agent can remove it. If it was me I would first contact a Thai Agent with contacts to check if there is any note. After that they can guide you. PS: The agent did not refund the application fee for second rejection as client had not told them about first one.

Anonymous participant 6 months is cutting it close these days. Times have changed and requirements are getting somewhat stringent. Possibly a cover letter along with your application stating your reasons for visiting, why this course , general interest in why you love Thailand, plans after finishing the course, and what you'll do with the remaining 4 years of the visa.

6 months is fine, there must be something behind it we don't know
