What should I do if my Thai visa application is repeatedly rejected without explanation?

Hi everyone,

Please note that it seems easy, but it is not.

My application is rejected twice - once from The Netherlands, once from Vietnam. Why? We don’t know. I’ve done it through an agency called Issa Compass. They have a legal team making the case for you and apply when they think it’s a 100% go.

They don’t give you any reason. Been to the embassy, been calling everywhere. No answers.

My stuff is in my apartment in Bangkok 😂

Good luck everyone!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shares their frustration over multiple rejections of their DTV visa application, processed through an agency. Despite the agency's claims of a strong case, no reasons were given for the rejections from both the Netherlands and Vietnam. Other users respond with a mix of advice, speculation on possible reasons for rejection such as lack of funds or a blacklisting issue, while also discussing the efficacy of using visa agents versus applying independently.

If you worry about coming back we offer Safe Entry at various Airports

Your agent didn't pay enough to the office. Prices for 'guaranteed approval' have gone up recently due to increased demand. We're also seeing more DIY denials to encourage people to pay an agent. But some agents are trying to keep too big of a cut and Vietnam consulate boss isn't happy with it.

Anonieme deelnemer 225 People still don't understand that the DTV is a money grab. Has gotten nothing to do with keeping bad actors out. They will learn the true nature of the countries once they are here longer.

Now all countries are like this, even in the West. It just comes out in different ways.

He really should give a very detailed description of your application scheme, finances submitted, entry history etc if you want a breakdown of where the application is weak.

Did the Netherlands Embassy put a note on your immigration file - heard they did it before to someone and until removed no other embassy will approve.

Partially correct. Rogue consulates will still approve such applicants if the special fixer fee is paid on top. Same for immigration blacklist removal via 'lawyer', etc. But that's in-country. Everything has a price.
Greg ********
Anonymous participant 225 I know about in-country removal of notes - pal had it done last year when note put on about too many VE. Same as long overstay removal from the system or even "Disappeared" - at a price.

Why would you leave your stuff in Bangkok without a way back

Feels like someone got rejected because of lack of funds, valid reasons or that something obvious was missing (but not want to take responsibility for it) and blame the agent. Especially dropping their name

More than 600 dollar down the drain. Just go to Cambodia or Vietnam. Less hassle, less every day scams.

He literally posted they were rejected in Vietnam.

Dummie. I didn't mean to apply from, but to stay there. Just bail on the idea of going to Thailand. Hop (live) between Cambodia and Thailand. It really isn't that hard to understand now, is it?!

Boomer I think you better pay attention to wife you bought there and not mess around on social media. It is clear that you don't know how Facebook works 😂

I hope the agency refunded you whatever you paid them…

It is easy to do it yourself and save money on Agent fees.

Agents don’t really add any value to the application process for DTV, as you have to apply in person online, outside of Thailand.

It is easy if you tick the boxes and provide the relevant information approved in under 1 week..

I've seen this company's posts on ASN. I'd never use them based on how terrible and either just plain incorrect or outdated their information was.

my girlfriend went through them and got it. She could have done it herself for sure but the main benefit was that they were checking all the documents before applying and asked for additional documents before submitting the application which makes her save time in the end as the ambassy didn't request additional documents

Something about your history of living inside Thailand perhaps?
Jonathan ******
It's very straightforward and you don't need an agent.

Happened to a friend of mine in Bali just yesterday

You got blacklisted somehow. It happens more than people think.
Anonymous ******************
@Erik ******
did one rejection blacklist the applicant? Or is it after a few failures?
Erik *******
Anonymous participant 995

Being blacklisted is the cause of rejection. Not the consequence.
Greg ********
Anonymous participant 995 If the first embassy put a note on his immigration record then others will not approve. It is very rare of course but it can happen.

For what purpose did you apply for the DTV visa?
Marco *******
This sounds like a troll post. No info regarding what kind of DTV, circumstances, proof of funds. Legal team? Making the case when they think it's 100% and yet it was denied twice?

I feel like I'm on Twitter falling for ragebait lol

Maybe you don’t qualify?
