TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the procedures for crossing the Ranong border to obtain a 30-day stamp, confirming that the border is operating smoothly with no significant issues. Travelers noted the necessity of a $10 USD entrance fee or a 500 THB note, along with a boat fare of 50 THB. Many expats recounted their experiences of easily stamping in and out and extending their stay for another 30 days. It's emphasized that travelers can cross this border twice a year without complications, and a UK passport holder confirmed the ability to extend their stay at immigration.

Did it 2 months ago. Every thing went smoothly. Stamped out of thailand, got on a boat (50baht) , paid $10usd to get stamped in and out of myanmar, then spent a few hours in myanmar then then came back by boat (50baht). Then got a new thai 30 exempt stamp.
