Has anyone recently done a border bounce out of Thailand then back into Thailand at Ranong and could please help me out with some information?

If so what are all the associated costs? What time is the border open? How long does it take to get to Myanmar and back? Where is a safe place to park a big bike? Anything else that could be useful information regarding this? Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
A recent inquiry about crossing the border from Thailand to Myanmar at Ranong revealed several key details. Travelers should expect to pay around 50 baht for a long tail boat ride, which takes about 40 minutes each way. It's essential to have a crisp $10 bill or 300 baht for immigration fees. The border typically operates from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For parking, it's recommended to utilize the market area near the pier. Travelers should also be cautious about local scammers and avoid traveling on weekends if possible to minimize complications.

You could get train to Chumpon and then a bus to Ranong.

You could also fly to Ranong from Bangkok.

bus to Ranong is 6 hours, driving about 4< park at the market right near pier

Boat is 50 baht/seat or 500 for the whole boat ( they will wait for you to take you back. might ask for more if you dont speak thai.

you can stay up to 14 days but cant travel more than like 15 kms from town< theres a few hotels right near where boat drops you off as well as restaurants.,

The long tail boat across is 50 baht for locals. AVOID ! the dodgy characters that approach you at the pier. Try to not go across on a weekend. Take a good USA $10 bill and or 300 baht and hide the rest of your money. Tell them you have a choice $10 or 300 baht NOT 500 baht. The last time I went on a Sunday my $10 bill was in perfect condition but dodgy side kick insisted I give him 500 baht. Since the banks were closed they thought they had me. Basically told them take it or leave it up to you.

Extra $$$ for the military to kill people. Works for me every time they play games. If more foreigners stood up to the B.S more often would be far fewer problems for others. Be polite but firm and most of all learn to say NO!

Not done since it reopened but I guess it’s the same as pre Covid. You need a crisp $10 bill for the Myanmar immigration. Two copies of your passport photo page.

Negotiate price with a long tail boat. Takes about 40 minutes each way.

Not sure opening hours but guessing immigration office open from 8:30 to 4:30. Others may be able to be specific.
