Has anybody done a 30 day on arrival border crossing from leaving from Bangkok to the Kanchanaburi/ Phu Nam Ron - Myanmar border lately? I’ve found a visa run service that leaves from Bangkok and costs 2000฿. Apparently that’s the only fee il have to pay. I’ve checked twice with the company and they have said there is no additional cost when I arrive. I’ve never used a visa service company before and I’m wondering what are the best options from Bangkok.
I’ve seen that the border pass costs 500฿. Or there is a 950฿ fee for a bus across no mans land including the border stamp.
Also cheap busses running from Bangkok to the local bus terminal in Kanchanaburi. Then catching another bus to the border and travelling back the same way etc.
Does anybody have any experience with this border crossing?
