TLDR : Answer Summary
An Indian passport holder traveling to Bangkok on a single-entry visa who plans to visit Cambodia should consider two options: 1) Obtain a re-entry permit from the Chiang Watthana Immigration Office in Bangkok before traveling to Cambodia. 2) Leave for Cambodia and return to Bangkok, seeking a visa on arrival, which is not recommended for a single-entry tourist visa holder. Comments emphasize the importance of securing a tourist visa from a Thai consulate in India before the trip, rather than relying on a visa on arrival. After returning from Cambodia, the individual may need to report to the same immigration office but the enforcement of reporting is not strict in Bangkok. The primary immigration office for re-entry permits in Bangkok is located at Chaengwatthana, but permits can also be obtained at the airport.
Do I need to report to the same immigration office after I return Bangkok from Cambodia (my visa would be single entry tourist visa of 30 days)? Also, how many immigration offices are there in Bangkok from where I can get re-entry permit?
With SETV you’d get stamped for 60days. If you would report (if you mean TM30), same immigration office. But in Bangkok it isn’t enforced strictly yet.
Only one immigration office at Caengwattana you can get re-entry permit in Bangkok. You can also get re-entry permit at the airport the day and before you fly out if you are flying.
is good advice. Get a Tourist Visa in India BEFORE you come to Thailand. A Visa on Arrival is NOT what you need. Buy a reentry permit before you go to Cambodia from Thai Immigration.
If you're going to get a tourist visa from a thai consulate in india BEFORE you come here and you're only here for 3 days, then definitely buy a re-entry permit before you leave for Cambodia.
