I've heard now entering Thailand with VOA (Visa on arrival) you get a TR VISA Stamp (Standard Tourist Visa) valid for 45 days.
And then you can extend it only 1 single time for +30 days for a grand total of 75 days.
Is that true?

TLDR : Answer Summary
An Italian passport holder does not qualify for a Visa on Arrival in Thailand but is eligible for visa exemption, allowing a stay of 45 days upon arrival. This exemption is temporarily extended from the usual 30 days until March 31st. Moreover, a single 30-day extension is possible, making a total stay of up to 75 days. It is important to clarify that this is not a TR visa stamp but a visa exempt stamp.
You get visa exempt for 45 days. You will have no visa

You're using a lot of incorrect terms.
Visa on Arrival is only available to a small number of countries whose citizens can apply for and pay for a visa when they arrive. Hence visa on arrival.
You do not qualify this. You qualify for visa exempt, meaning NO VISA at all, you are exempt from needing a visa.
If you arrive without a visa you will be stamped in for 45 days (this is not a tourist visa stamp, it is a visa exempt stamp).
Normally you get 30 days on arrival for visa exempt but it has been temporarily increased to 45 days on arrival until March 31st.
You can get a single 30 day extension on this giving you 75 days total.
For a tourist visa you must apply for, pay for, and receive before you ever come to Thailand. If you have a tourist visa you get 60 days on arrival which can be extended one time for 30 days, giving 90 days total.
No. Visa exempt and tourist visa were only ever allowed one extension. To get 90 days you would need a tourist visa you obtain before coming to Thailand. That gives you 60 days which can get 1 extension, so 90 days total.
