I am going to Bangkok on 1st Oct with single entry tourist visa and then going to Siem reap on 4th Oct from DMK airport and will return back BKK on 7th. My question is whether I can get the re-entry permit at DMK airport and how long before I need to reach airport to get that? Note that my flight time is at 1:30 PM.Also, If i somehow miss to get the re-entry permit then can I get another single entry tourist visa at BKK airport when I will return at 7th?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses travel plans from Bangkok to Siem Reap and inquiries about obtaining a re-entry permit at DMK airport. Key points include the ability to purchase a re-entry permit (1,000 THB) at the airport or the immigration office, recommended arrival times (2-3 hours before flight), and options for obtaining a Visa on Arrival (VOA) if the re-entry permit is not secured. Comments clarify that the individual is likely an Indian citizen, eligible for a VOA; however, a single-entry tourist visa would become void once leaving Thailand.

1. It appears you are an Indian. You can either buy a 60 day tourist visa while in India, or get a 15 day Visa on Arrival. It sounds like you are planning on getting a Visa on Arrival.

2. You can purchase a re-entry permit to keep your visa active. It should be 1,000 THB. You can get that at the immigration office, or the airport.

3. I believe you are able to get as many VOAs, however, you will have to show your ticket out of Thailand, and the triple proofs (source:

I have never ever seen a person on a 15 day visa on arrival get a re-entry permit. I don't even know IF they sell them for that particular entry.

You are Indian by the looks of it, so you are getting a visa on arrival (VOA) you are not getting a Single Entry Tourist (SETV) So get a VOA, and then If you will come back to Bangkok on the 7th, and leave before the 15th, then get a re-entry permit. Arrival 2 to 3 hours before all international flights is recommended. If you want to stay past the 15th, then skip the Re-entry, go to Cambodia and then get another VOA when you come back.

You have a SINGLE entry I believe once you leave its finished but wait for Admn

VOA not SETV.

if you will really have SETV, why not to get re-entry permit... with your re-entry permit, you will be stamped until 60days from the first entry date again, with VOA, you will be stamped for only 15days. well, Just in case.

it's of course your decision - in anyway either costs you time or money.

you should be fine, you may need to show your onward ticket out of Thailand, hotel booking and cash (20,000 THB) to prove you can support yourself. VOA is free at the moment while a re-entry permit costs 1,000B, so up to you which you go for.

for re-entry permit, maybe takes 15-20min at DMK. Line for passport control is always quite long, do try to get as early as possible and as your airline check-in counter open.

Generally plan an extra 30-45minutes to apply For a re entry permit. If you don’t get it you will have to return on an exemption (depending on your passport) you can NOT get Generally get a visa at the airport on arrival (depending on your passport)

He can get a 15 day VOA at the airport.

You can't get a tourist visa at the airport. You can only get a 15 day visa on arrival IF you are from a country that qualifies for VOA. You can only get a tourist visa from a Thai embassy.
