Is it possible to enter Thailand with a visa exemption, exit to Cambodia, and re-enter for a flight back to Italy?

Hello everyone! I would need an information, maybe it’s a stupid question. If I enter in Thailand with visa on arrival (30 days), then I exit the country for some days and come back via land, is it possible? I wanted to arrive in Bangkok, stay in Thailand for some days, go to Cambodia and then coming back to Thailand to take the plane. All this in a period of 2/3 weeks. Is it possible? thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the feasibility of entering Thailand with a visa exemption (30 days), traveling to Cambodia, and then returning to Thailand to board a flight back to Italy. Comments clarify that as an Italian, the user qualifies for a visa-exempt entry. Re-entering Thailand after a short visit to another Southeast Asian country is permissible, though frequent re-entries may raise immigration concerns in the long term.

so what do I have to do when I re-come to Thailand to take the plane to go back to Italy? Nothing?

nothing other than the requirements when you first entered. Your passport and vax certificate (or negative antigen test if not).

Your profile suggests that you might be Italian. If that’s the case then you’d get a visa exempt entry of 30 days (45 if you enter after October 1st). No problem visiting another SE Asian country and re entering Thailand. You can’t use that method for a long term stay though as eventually immigration will question your intentions and possibly deny you entry.

What’s your nationality? Many people confuse Visa on Arrival and a visa exemption entry or visa waiver entry. 3 different set of rules.
