I am going to Bangkok Immigration Chaeng Watthana tomorrow to renew, or more exactly to extend for one year more, my Non Immigrant Visa O based on Retirement. I just need to know if the documents needed are the same as last year ( september 2020 ) or is there new procedures, new requirements specifically for financial conditions and proof of my bank account balance?
1) Bank letter ok
2) Updated bank book the date I apply ok
BUT
3) Never before, have I been asked ( for the previous 9 years I extended my visa each year ) to show a 6 months detail transaction history.
Is this a new requirement?
If yes, do you think the Bangkok Bank branch located in the Government building basement can print this document while I am there?
Thank you very much
TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirements for extending a Non Immigrant Visa O based on Retirement in Thailand may differ slightly each year. As of this year, applicants are advised to check for new procedures and particularly for financial documentation requirements. While some individuals reported that no 12 months of transaction history was requested, it's apparent that others have faced demands for this information. Specifically, banks may print only 6 months of history on demand, leading to potential complications. To avoid denial, it is recommended to obtain and prepare all necessary documents beforehand, including a bank letter and a recent bank book, and ensure that you understand any new requirements that may have been implemented.
