Recent discussions among expats regarding Thailand's entry requirements for COVID-19 include confusion about whether vaccination or travel insurance is necessary. Some participants share insights from their airlines and embassies, noting that while there is talk of requirements in the media, official confirmation is lacking. There is a sentiment of apprehension about the perceived need for vaccinations, and some expats express frustration with what they see as unequal treatment in entry regulations. The situation appears fluid, with varying opinions on the need for vaccinations and travel insurance to enter Thailand.

China F’d up, but Thailand too scared to offend China, so they suffer all the “dirty farangs”.
it is coercion and is exluding people who have enough brain power to not take this experimental and often deadly injection. Can it be any less equal?!?
I know. Its in their constitution to be allowed free entry.

This is BS. There is no requirement. A friend of mine was freaking out because he’s getting ready to come over here and read the Bangkok Post article. He called the Thai embassy and was told not to believe everything in the media, that there is no requirement (yet).
thanks but I want to see an official document of the law, regulation, edict or whatever you want to call it. These graphics and news reports are not official.
I contacred my airline Swiss air, yesterday and they confirmed to me, that they will be checking covid requirements to allow boarding, starting 8th January, thats enough for me.
Cambodia and Laos both offer agent assisted long-term visas with no hoops to jump through. You simply pay the money and supply a photograph once a year and you're done.
Indeed. Vietnam no longer offers this option, so it's only good for short-term tourism. Legitimate work permit holders and those married to Vietnamese citizens continue to be allowed long-term residency in Vietnam but the longer 3 month tourist visas that were extendable in country multiple times are no longer issued and tourist visa extensions aren't currently available.
Agreed. There are certain things I prefer in Cambodia, but overall Vietnam is definitely better. Especially for long-term residence. Unfortunately, visas are no longer easy, unlike in Cambodia.
a few long termers in Vietnam have managed to buy Temporary residence, but as we know illegal, and can be a problem at anytime, also expensive. I never ate well in Cambodia.

Travel insurance generally covers covid treatment so I'm sure that's ok.
I didnt say all. I said it generally does. I just did a search online travel insurance, every one that came up included covid cover. Not sure why anyone would buy travel insurance that didn't.
