Ref Tm 30 I have been going in and out of Thailand for 14 or 15 years, living in Pattaya in the early days now living near Phrae. I have never filled out a Tm 30 nor has my Thai wife been asked for or fined over this form. Is this another rule that immigration has decided to enforce or have I been lucky. I will ask at Nan on returning to Thailand in June. Do you need to inform immigration if you stay with friends or in a hotel for a few nights. Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user questions the necessity of filling out the TM30 form during their long stay in Thailand and whether recent enforcement by immigration authorities may require them to report their residential status when staying with friends or in hotels. They mention their experience of living in Thailand for over 14 years without ever filling out this form or facing fines, but express uncertainty about current rules that may have changed.
