I’m stuck for options.

I have a NON-IMM O Mulitple visa based on marriage to Thai citizen that was obtained in Savannakhet,Laos.

Obtained visa on 06/JAN/2020. Expires 05/Jan/2021.

What’s the best option to do an extension hope to get extension for one year?

Option 2 Apply for a new visa at Chang wattana?

Or do I just need to do 90 day report only in which would already be over.

I usally work out of the country so only here 5 weeks at one time then exit.

I located in Bangkok.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking guidance on extending their NON-IMM O visa based on marriage to a Thai citizen. They obtained the visa in January 2020, which expired in January 2021, and are considering options for a one-year extension or applying for a new visa. Other users clarified that the visa allows entry into Thailand but that the 90-day entry stamp governs their stay. They suggested three options: applying for a yearly extension with financial proof, obtaining a 60-day family extension, or waiting for further announcements regarding amnesty for holders.

The year-long VISA means nothing once you're in the country. It's only used to ASK to get in and get stamped in for 90 days

It's the 90 day entry stamp you get FROM using the visa to enter that lets you stay here, SO the validity of your visa is meaningless right now.

You entered on a 90 day entry stamp on Feb 18, 2020 and were allowed to be here until probably May 17th. THEN you went on amnesty

You have three choices

Get a yearly extension (where you show proof of 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for it)

OR

Get a 60 day visit thai family extension that requires no proof of funds.

OR

Do nothing and wait for the announcement of what happens to amnesty holders when amnesty runs out.

sounds good. I have the 400k already for over 4 months.

I think I’ll just go do the yearly extension as of can’t exit country it’s easier just to do 90 day reporting.

that's the easiest thing. When you apply for the extension you'll pay the 1900baht and get a 30 day under consideration stamp for 30 days. After that time runs down you go back and get the rest of the 11 month extension inked into your passport THEN buy a re-entry permit in case you need to leave/come back so your extension doesn't get cancelled

okay first off you need to understand the difference between a VISA and an ENTRY STAMP.
