I currently have a non immigrant O visa single entry visa and would like to extend my Visa . It expires mid September, what are my options ? Is there a 60 day extension I can do or should I just go do the Covid extension for 60 days before july 29th and pray they extend visas again ( note I was in Thailand from March 2020 to March 2021, and returned home . Then returned back to Thailand in mid June and completed Asq in bangkok ) .

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking options to extend their Non-O visa, which is set to expire in mid-September. They inquire about the possibility of a 60-day extension or utilizing a COVID-related extension. Comments suggest that applying for an extension may not be possible until 45 days before the visa expiration and advise watching for any updates regarding the COVID extension program.

if you got an entry stamp that expires in mid sept you aren't gonna be able to apply for a covid extension UNLESS they continue the program (the earliest you can apply for an extension in bangkok is 45 days before your current stamp expires). Your only bet is to wait and see IF they extend the 60 day covid program and then apply closer to when your current entry stamp runs out

1. What is the reason for the Non-O Visa (i.e. retirement, marriage, raising half-Thai children, etc)?

2. What is your "admitted to" stamp?

>should I just go do the Covid extension for 60 days before july 29th

Probably not. Most immigration offices want a person to apply for an extension of stay when they have 30 days or less remaining on their existing stamp.

> what are my options ?

1. Apply for a one year extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai national/ raising half-Thai children. You can only apply for raising half-Thai children if you have parental rights to the child, OR were married during the time the child was born to the mother.

1. Your passport and a copy of:

- Your data ("picture") page

- Your Non-O visa

- Your entry stamp

- Your departure card

2. Your wife (if applying for marriage) OR the child (if applying for raising half-Thai child) PHYSICALLY next to you, and

- The wife (or child) ID card and a copy of her ID card

- The housebook, and a copy of the first page

3. To meet the money requirements, which are:

- 400K THB in a Thai bank account, seasoned for 2 months OR;

- 40K THB in income OR;

- a letter from your embassy saying you make 40K THB a month

[Note: Seasoning requirements waived for raising half-Thai children]

4. Marriage certificate (either the rose border certificate, OR a translated copy from your home country). For half-Thai child you will need the marriage certificate or parental rights from the court.

5. The application form

6. 2x passport pictures

7. 1,900 THB for the processing fee.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, and this may include:

- A copy of the TM30 filed where you live

- A hand drawn map to your house

- Pictures of you and your wife in various locations in the house (front of the house/ condo, in all rooms, etc)

- Witnesses or interviews with neighbors

- Rental contract (if renting property or a condo)

2. Apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on visiting Thai family. You will need the same requirements listed above, BUT no proof of income is required.

* * *

3. Apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. The last day the government is selling this is July 29, 2021 (for now).

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and ant to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.

Different immigration offices have different policies. *SOME* may require:

- The ID card of the property owner where you are staying

- Copies of *ALL* stamped pages in your passport

if I do Option 2 do I go to Immigration Division 1: Government Complex or to the temporary visa extension office

AS OF RIGHT NOW, you would go to Changwatanna. IF they extend the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, apply for that first.
