Good morning all

Okay I came over from the UK last March on a 90 day non O based on marriage. I changed that to what some people call a marriage visa.

That has now expired in March 2022 so changed it to a 60 day tourist visa as I am waiting on Australia immigration to issue a work visa if this does not arrive by the 30th of next month what options are open to me to extend for say another month here. T.I.A.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently on a 60-day tourist visa after initially entering Thailand on a 90-day NON-O visa based on marriage. They seek advice on options for extending their stay for another month while waiting for a work visa from Australia. Commenters suggest applying for a COVID extension or a 60-day visit to Thai family extension, as well as questioning why a one-year extension wasn't pursued while on the marriage visa.

If you are actually married to a Thai woman why didn't you just apply for the one year extension while you were on the 90 day marriage visa?

because I will be leaving Thailand as soon as Astralian immigration issue my work visa.

spending the bt1900, the same as you spent for your covid extension, for another year marriage extension doesn't mean you have to stay the whole year, it simply meant it was a better option, and then you wouldn't be in the quandary you are in now. It sounds like your marriage ended.

A lot of people are saying "get the covid extension, much easier process", but it's costing you 1900baht for every two months, and possibly will no longer be available after the end of May, so all you'll get is a "leave the country within seven days" stamp. Do what Kool has suggested. Just get the 12 month extension while you can. Still only 1900baht, and you're right for a year

you've got a covid extension now, so if you don't get your Australian visa by the last week in May, just apply for another covid extension, but, they might want to see a plane ticket out of the country in the next 60 days.

You can apply for another covid extension before 24th May, if that fails, get 60 day visit thai family extension (you get one shot per entry)

I think you have applied for the Covid extension

I don't think so. You cannot get a tourist visa inside the country, and it certainly wouldn't be under consideration. I'm guessing you've got a "covid extension"
