What are my options for extending my Non-O visa in Thailand after July 31 given the situation in Nepal?
Hello - My family and I came here from our home in Kathmandu on a Non Immigrant O (90-day single entry, granted for medical reasons) on March 1 to have a baby in Bangkok. We've been stuck here ever since with Nepal now closed to commercial flights. Our Non-O expires May 28.
It looks like the airport in Nepal will be closed for some time, so we plan to take advantage of the visa amnesty to stay as long as it takes to get back into Kathmandu.
My question is whether after July 31 there might be a path for visa extension of Non-Os like ours that have never been extended? There's a very good chance that Nepal will not be accepting flights in July, and we could be forced out of Thailand without a clear destination. For us the crisis is now pegged to the situation in Nepal, where I have a house, job, and staff in Kathmandu.
Any thoughts welcome.

Answer summary
A family from Kathmandu is concerned about their Non Immigrant O visa expiring while they cannot return to Nepal due to closed flights. They seek advice on potential extensions for their visa after July 31, given the ongoing situation. Comments suggest using a visa amnesty but warn about uncertainties surrounding future flight and visa regulations.

Assuming you are currently in Thailand, we do not know what will happen after July 31. It appears the airport in Napel may report on June 1st (according to Google Flight that is).
>My question is whether after July 31 there might be a path for visa extension of Non-Os like ours that have never been extended?
There is no extension of stay based on a Non-O based on medical reasons, UNLESS the medical reason continues.
>There's a very good chance that Nepal will not be accepting flights in July
Maybe, maybe not. We don’t know, sadly. July 31 is a VERY long time away.
My advice: Go on the amnesty. You can stay no longer than July 31, and continue watching the news about what to do. The rest appears to be guessing, which we don’t do in this group.
