IMMIGRANT O FAMILY EXTENSION 60 DAYS?

hi I have a immigrant O 90 day visa based on having a child in Thailand I'm not married

My 90 days is almost done,I want to stay in Thailand another 60 days I was planning on getting the covid 19 extension but that is no longer possible

Can I extend my visa for another 60 days? based on family reasons,I have seen some information that's it possible but nothing conclusive its very difficult to find information about this

I know this visa can be extended for 1 year regarding having 400,000 in a thai bank,I do not have this amount in my bank account and was hoping the 60 days extension if possible would have different requirements to 1 year extension

Any advice would be appreciated

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about extending their Immigrant O 90-day visa, obtained due to having a child in Thailand without being married. They were seeking information on the possibility of a 60-day extension based on family reasons, noting the difficulty in finding conclusive details. Commentary suggested that an extension is feasible if proof of parenthood is provided, without requiring financial documentation for the short extension, while a longer one-year extension would typically necessitate proof of funds.

You should be able to get a 60days extension visiting a Thai family providing proof of you are a parent if your child is half Thai. It does not require proof of funds. Go to your local immigration office and ask for detailed requirements.

FYI, You will need proof of funds and parental rights to get 1-year extension being a parent of a half Thai child.
