ORIGINAL POSTERHello, need some advice on my next steps. I have a non b visa (12 month) that expires December 25th. I no longer have a job due to COVID and closure of hotel so I was wondering if there is a way of extending it or what are my options? I read about extensions but does that apply to all visas? I am in a situation where I’ve just given birth 2 months ago and my child’s passport won’t arrive before the 25th so looking to remain in the country until it would arrive in the new year. Any advice would be super helpful. Thanks.

said she has a Non-B visa (12 month) AND no one knows IF that means she got a year long, multi-entry Non-B visa from a thai consulate in another country (where she would normally bounce in and out every 3 months to get a new 90 day stamp) OR if she has a yearly extension of stay based on employment from the immigration office in her area.Tod *********
okay, we pretty much ran thru the options for
1 - apply for an unable to travel due to covid extension (as you're from the UK they don't issue the letter) so just go to your immgiration office and apply
2 - apply for an unable to travel due to medical reasons (as you just had a baby, get a letter from a doct or hospital) and just go to the immigration office and apply.
That's pretty much your choices.

From the info on FB it looks that your partner is from Myanmar. It is not clear to me if you stay on work permit or multiple entry Non B. If extension on work permit and you lost your job before 31st October you are, legally, on overstay.

yea Myanmar but baby was born in thailand and trying to sort out British passport for him to fly home. Won’t get back in time before my non b multiple entry visa expires in December. I am not in overstay. Reply to
