I put this as a comment on another thread. Sorry, I'm not very good at posting on FB! I hope someone can advise me. Many thanks.
I am am here on a 1 year non-O visa based on marriage, but my visa expired on 10 March. My 90 day stamp expires on 2 June. Can i get a 60 day extension even though my visa has expired? If so, is that my best option if i want to stay longer because the Covid-19 situation is worse in London than Bangkok. I am UK passport holder staying with my Thai wife in Samut Prakan (near BKK airport). I am also over 50 but prefer not to get involved in the type of visa that requires banked money, 90 day reporting, etc, etc.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is on a 1-year Non-O visa based on marriage, which expired on March 10. They are seeking advice on whether they can apply for a 60-day extension despite their visa being expired, as their 90-day stamp is valid until June 2. Responses clarify that the 90-day entry stamp allows them to stay in Thailand and that they can apply for a 60-day family extension at the immigration office after May 2.

You can apply for a 60 day visit family extension at the immigration office in your area when you have 30 days or less left on your current entry stamp which you say expires 2 June <- meaning you can apply for that extension after the 2nd of May.
GO to your immigration office and get the hand out that lists the requirements as far as documents etc to get that extension. the extension costs 1900baht and they add the 60 days to the end of your current stamp expiration date.
A visa lets you ask to get let in to thailand and if you get in you get in for the days that visa allows (in your case 90 days every entry)
Your 90 day ENTRY stamp is what lets you stay here inside the country. SO even if your visa expires as long as your 90 day entry stamp is valid you're allowed to be here and allowed to apply for an extension
