What happens to my visa and extension of stay in Thailand if I close the business associated with them but have a second job?

I have a work permit and visa (extension of stay, which I renew each year) through my business here.

I have recently taken on a 2nd job and that has been added to my work permit.

My question is if I sell or close the business of which the original visa and extension of stay is granted under will the visa and extension of stay still be valid given now I have a second job in my work permit?

Or do I re apply for the visa and extension of stay separately under the 2nd job if I close or sell the above mentioned business.

Hope that makes sense

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original visa extension based on the closed business will no longer be valid. You will need to cancel it and apply for a new visa extension associated with your new employer. It's also recommended to cancel your current work permit and apply for a new one as soon as possible to avoid any complications.

Still, if you close your company (that is work permit primary workplace), it'd be better to cancel your current work permit and apply new one under a new employer as soon as possible - hopefully when you change your extension. You need to do that when "renew" your work permit at the latest anyway. If it's me, I think I wouldn't want to get any problem when a work permit is canceled by not-existing-any-more-company.

Nor I wouldn't want to contact the 'buyer' to ask to make the documentation to cancel the work permit long after the company sold.

will the work permit still be valid yes, will the extension based on the previous employer still be valid NO, you'd have to cancel that extension and immediately apply for a new extension with documentation from the second employer.
