What should I do regarding my non-O visa extension after mistakenly entering Thailand without a multiple re-entry permit?

I have non-O visa which due to renew on 25th June. Due to recent country open up so I went back to the land border at Sadao/Bukit Kayu Hitam and forgot to apply the multiple re-entry. After I reached Malaysia I realize that I don’t have multiple re-entry permit and immigration at Thai also didn’t mentioned anything when stamping exit my passport. After checked my passport stamping, office did wrote down have re-entry permit beside the stamp but actually don’t have.

So I do not want to take risk and I went to Penang Thai consulate to apply a new Visa non-O and get my multiple entries for one year. In this case after I came into Thailand now, I have 90 days validity and should I do my one year extension now or should wait until last month of the expiry date (valid until April 2023)?

With all this will it impact my future PR application as will it consider my Visa extension not in continuous years or?

Your kind advise and recommendations is highly appreciated, thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a non-O visa expiring on June 25. After leaving Thailand without a multiple re-entry permit, they applied for a new non-O visa in Malaysia. They are asking whether to apply for a one-year extension now or wait until closer to the expiry date, and how this might affect their future permanent residency application. A comment indicates that while they can apply for the extension at any time, leaving Thailand without a re-entry permit affects their visa continuity, meaning they will need to start anew for the permanent residency count.

With multiple entry visa, you have to leave Thailand within the entry stamp of 90days. You can apply for a 1-year extension anytime (but only when your stamp has
*****
days or less, depending on your immigration office), on your first entry stamp, the last stamp, or any from your visa. Totally up to you when you want to apply for a 1-year extension.

Your extension continuity was terminated when you left Thailand without a re-entry permit. For PR, you are going to start over. Your count will start when you get a 1-year extension again.

(PR is out of the scope of this group, so don't go further)
