I spent a few years in Thailand and Vietnam and am booked to return to Thailand in January.
I'm a UK passport holder and I only plan to spend a few weeks in Thailand. I have onwards travel booked and a hotel booked for the first few days (to recover from the journey) 😊
I can't remember how the visa system works as it has been a few years since I entered last, but I'm pretty sure I just go for the visa exemption?
Is this correct please?...and if so, what is the process for this? Is there a form to be filled out before I go, or do they do it once you arrive there?
Also, is there anything else I need before I fly?
Sorry for all the questions, and many thanks in advance for any help given!

TLDR : Answer Summary
As a UK passport holder planning to visit Thailand for a few weeks, you can enter the country under the visa exemption scheme, which currently allows a 60-day stay. Upon arrival, simply present your passport and boarding pass at the immigration desk to obtain your entry stamp—no pre-arrival forms are necessary. It is recommended to have proof of onward travel and possibly a hotel booking for the initial days of your stay.
Thailand has mentioned plans for an ETA but nothing tangible has been done. For now, just arrive with your passport and proof of leaving Thailand within 60 days and maybe a hotel booking and have a great time.
