Can UK passport holders enter Thailand multiple times under visa exemption while traveling in Southeast Asia?

Hi all, me and my partner (both UK passport holders) are flying into Bangkok on the 14th February and flying out of Bangkok on the 23rd May. In this time we’re planning on visiting multiple other countries in Southeast Asia, but we were hoping to start by spending ~2 weeks in Northern Thailand before exiting via land into Laos. We’d then be hoping to reenter Thailand around the start of April via land from Cambodia. But we’re struggling to find online whether this would work with the 30/45 day visa exempt entry and wondered if any of you could help us? Are we able to use this kind of entry multiple times, would the 30/45 days reset? Or do we need to buy some kind of multi-entry visa beforehand instead? If someone could explain or point me in the right direction that would be great. We’d also then be hoping to enter Bangkok again via plane in time for our flight back on the 23rd May, however if we’re not able to use the visa exemption multiple times we would just stay within the airport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
UK passport holders can enter Thailand visa-exempt for up to 45 days, and this duration is applicable each time they enter. However, they can enter visa-exempt at land borders only twice per calendar year. After the second entry via land, they must enter by air to continue using the visa exemption. It's also important to plan around the expiration of the visa exemption, which in this case expires on March 31.

I am Afrikaans , I have a Portugese passport by marriage , I speak Afrikaans and English and broken Portugese . The man clearly has a Continental Surname , give him the credit , his English is way better than my portugese. He's asking for advice , stop being That Guy. U should be out enjoying the sun and land of smiles , not making demeaning remarks . K̄hxbkhuṇ

You will get stamped in for 45 days each time you enter.

Beware that you are limited to entering visa exempt at a land border to 2 times per calendar year. So if you are planning on leaving and re-entering more than 2 times, you'll need to start doing it by air after the 2nd time. There is no official limit to how many times you can enter visa exempt by air.

Also make sure you have enough room in your passport as you're going to get 2 stamps each time.

Thanks for answering. And are these rules for up until 31st March 2023? If so, do you know whether they are assumed to carry on?

visa exempt is a normal program that's been around for a long time. They temporarily increased it from 30 days to 45 days for 6 months to boost tourist. It just goes back to the normal 30 days in April.

after March 31st you'll be stamped in for 30 days, not 45. That's the only difference.
