Fast question. I think it’s gonna be alright with my stay but just want to make it sure.

I will be in Bangkok on 28th Nov 06:35

Then I will have my flight to Vietnam on 28th December 14:35.

Is it counts as a 30 days free visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is planning to stay in Thailand from November 28 to December 28, which totals 31 days. According to community comments, the first day is counted as the day of entry, meaning the user's visa exemption would expire on December 27, leading to a potential one-day overstay if leaving on December 28. Several commenters suggest applying for a 30-day extension or booking an earlier flight to avoid complications at immigration.

Thank u guys! To be safe than sorry I have booked another flight on 26 December. I don’t want to be unlucky and have a problem boarding the plane to Thailand.

Immigration police will put a date on your passport, thats the date you go by, not by asking random people on a facebook group lol BTW the day you enter is your first day , then count 29 more on a calender

That is more than annoying Shannon Beardsley. We have all learned something now. Nothing is as simple as it may appear. OP did right to ask the question.
Shannon *******
Do NOT go by the date that immigration stamp on your passport. I learned this the hard way. Always count it out yourself. Immigration stamped my passport for 31 days not 30 on a border run I did. Cost me a 500baht fine and an overstay stamp 😡😡😡

U right Steve..

That person looks bargaining at grocery shop. Hehe

To save any problems you could apply for a 30 day extention. If you dont the worst case scenario is a 1 day overstay stamp but probably no overstay fine.

@Ia**
, if you don't trust google, count it out arrive

= 31 days. He may not have to pay the 500 thb overstay fine but his passport will be stamped with one day overstay, not recommended.

@Mic***
, you're more likely to have difficulty boarding the aircraft from your country of origin as if you're denied the 30 day visa exempt stamp, the airline has to foot the bill to take you back home. Any & all immigration officers have the right to ask you to show you have 20,000 thb or equivalent in foreign currency, proof of accommodation and onward journey. It just depends on which immigration officer you get on the day. Better to be safe than sorry.

Are they checking on arrival if you have onward flight during the next 30 days or is it your responsibility and they don’t care? Any other consequences beside 500 baht fine?
Brad ********
Yes
@Ia**
, they will stamp for a one day overstay as the picture below clearly shows.
Brad ********
Overstay is overstay, it is more likely than not he will be given an overstay stamp & they'll write in 1 day.
Iain ********
is it stamped for 1 day ?
Iain ********
the answer is fairly irrelevant as he will be stamped into the 27th or 28th, leaves on 28th, so 1st day is 500 Baht Exempt, not that i would encourage overstay. PS google anything and get 3 answers to same question
Brad ********
You'll overstay 1 day. Google days between dates & you'll see

Krishn is correct. They count the day you arrive as a day so... exempt entry would expire on the 27th
Krishn *********
U must exit before 27th 23.59.

otherwise not allowed by immigration. Or enter 29th nov.

Both person calculations wrong.

Top man Krishn!
