Maybe this is a daft, obvious question but I just want to be sure.

I am planning to travel to Thailand from 09/01 unti 08/02, a period of 30 days, I am hoping to get the 30 day visa exempt on arrival. Does the 30 days actually mean 30 days? Or is it 29,or even 28 as I have heard for other countries?

Sorry for being a numpty but I do like to check everything.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 30-day visa exemption in Thailand indeed means 30 calendar days, with the arrival day counting as Day #1. Additionally, travelers can apply for a 30-day extension at Thai Immigration for a fee of 1,900 Thai baht, allowing for a maximum stay of 60 days.

With visa exempt you get 30 days on arrival plus option to add 30 days extension at Thai Immigration...fee is 1,900 Thai baht. = max 60 days stay.

30 days is 30 calendar days and in Thailand your arrival day is Day #1
